Our proprietary fiber-reinforced, polymeric concrete mix has been specially formulated and field tested for outdoor, extreme weather applications. With our innovative 2-in-1 mix there is no longer a need to purchase a separate countertop and panel mix. What is OasisStone™ Concrete Mix?
OasisStone™ Concrete Mix is a water-reducing admixture that is specially blended to create a low slump, stackable concrete material that has a consistency similar to clay as it cures. This gives OasisStone™ the ability to be molded and shaped before completely drying, allowing contractors to craft amazingly realistic rock panels, fire features, retaining walls, boulders, water features and just about any other outdoor creation you can imagine – all without the need for traditional concrete forms.

Precast Mixing Procedures for OasisStone™
- Stage your clean molds, treat with OasisStone™ Mold Release (refer to mold release instructions).
Why? OasisStone™ Mold Release will protect your molds, allow for an easy strip of the panel and give crisp details from your molds. - Use a double paddle mixer. (Pictured below)
Why? OasisStone™ is a high blend fiber material that requires high shear when mixing. A doubled paddle mixer will achieve the desired results more efficiently, in less time and limited strain on your personnel. - Use a clean 70-quart feed bucket or thick smooth wall plastic bucket. (Pictured below)
Why? These buckets will allow the mixing of two bags at a time. They have smooth walls and are made of thick durable plastic that will not break or crack in the mixing process. - Use 5 gallon measuring buckets. (Pictured below)
Why? So, you can properly add the same amount of water to every mix and keep a consistent viscosity. - If in a cold environment, use a submbersible bucket heater (Pictured below)
When mixing OasisStone™, your water should be at 85°F for optimal results. - Use hand trowels or textured loop roller for finishing. (Pictured below)
Why? To apply and finish the material, textured loop roller is recommended as the most efficient process for placing the material. - Use thick mill plastic to protect your mixing area.
Why? For ease of cleanup and to keep your work area neat, tidy and functional. - Control your water temperature and air temperature in the work environment.
Why? Heat and sun will decrease your working time. Cool temperatures and shade will increase your working time.
OasisStone™ Mixing instructions:
- Pre-stage and open the material to be mixed.
- Mark the desired amount of water for your desired consistency (196oz.) on the gauged buckets. Decrease water for desired consistency for patching application.
- Cooler water temperatures will slow down the set time (you can add ice to your batch water) and warmer water temperatures will speed up set time (electric bucket heaters will heat up your water).
- The temperature of your workspace will either speed up the set time or delay the set time. Cover the panel with plastic to reduce the set time.
- Direct sun will significantly accelerate speed of your initial set due to its exothermic properties.
- In your mixing bucket, start by adding 25% of your water.
- Add 50% of a 45lb. bag and mix thoroughly with the double head mixer.
- Slowly add the remainder of your water in the mix and thoroughly blend.
- Add the remainder of the dry powder to the mixing bucket and thoroughly mix.
- Take a trowel and scrape the sides of your mixing bucket, bottom of the bucket and then thoroughly mix with the double head mixer.
- In a bucket of cleaning water, thoroughly clean your double head mixer and trowel.
- Place the mixture in your precast formwork as soon as possible.
