OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer

OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer is a ready to use, rewettable polyvinyl acetate (PVA) emulsion admixture and bonding agent which bonds new concrete, underlayments, masonry, stucco, terrazzo and Portland cement/s and mixes to horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces. Recommended for interior and/or exterior use not subjected to constant moisture, hydrostatic pressure or continuous water saturation.

Re-emulsifiable/rewettable; VOC compliant. Excellent bonding agent/superior adhesive strength. Admixture drastically increases durability, adhesion and curing of cement base mortars and stucco. Can be used when there is a delay between primer application and subsequent topping or underlayment.

Surfaces to which OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer is to be applied must be clean, structurally sound, and free of water, soluble materials, or contaminants. Predampen clean surfaces before application. Primer has a coverage rate of 150-250 square feet per gallon. The coverage rate varies with the porosity ofthe surface. Apply with a brush, broom or sprayer and brush into the surface. Drying time is two to three hours at 70° F. OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer will remain slightly tacky when dry. Accumulation in low areas should be wiped up. Poor ventilation will delay normal drying time. Fans will help increase air circulation to speed drying time. Under normal conditions, Primer can be applied up to 10 days before installation of toppings, provided the coated surface is clean and free of all foreign materials. Traffic should be kept to a minimum. Very porous surfaces will require two applications of OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer. Allow two to three hours between applications. If a continuous film is not achieved on the surface, reapply Primer.

Replace one half of mixing water with OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer. Mix as usual. Properties achieved when using OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer as an admixture will depend on composition of the stucco/ mortar. Verify suitability in each application prior to application. Modifying with Primer will improve the adhesion and durability of cement based mortars/toppings.

Shelf life of OasisStone™ 2-in-1 Wet/Dry PVA Primer in the original tightly closed container is 1 year from the date of manufacture. Do not allow the accumulation of water, dirt or other contaminants.

Do not allow to freeze. Do not apply over frozen surfaces, water soluble paints, rust or peeling paints. Do not apply where hydrostatic pressure is present or in areas subjected to continuous water saturation or immersion. Until topping is placed, protect Primer film from dirt and other job site contaminants.
